Remembering Burt Reynolds

I remember growing up - almost being of age to watch a Rated R movie...one afternoon, one of my friends, Martin & I got together at his house. His mom was willing to take us to the movies...but what would we watch? I wasn't caught up on the hip movies that we could see...but Martin had something in mind...The Best Little Wh*rehouse in Texas, starring Burt Reynolds and Dolly Parton....

Well, ok, I said...if we can get in....

Sure enough, we were able to...I can't remember how we did - but we did. I remember the Texas Aggies went to party after their game. I remember Burt Reynolds played the sheriff...Dolly Parton was the boss lady and I remember - - well...you know how the story goes.

That was my first glimpse of Burt Reynolds. He was a star in my eyes. He was in SMOKEY & THE BANDIT, THE LONGEST YARD, CANNONBALL RUN, and so many other movies. He will be long remembered as an American Icon...I know some ladies won't soon forget his centerfold poster, either. Watch the clip of Burt with Conan O'Brien talking about the photo shoot...

Today, Mr. Burt passed away at the age of 82....his wit, his demeanor, his "Burt Look"...he will be missed...RIP Mr. Burt! :)
