With Brooks and Dunn’s recent album of old hits and collaborations with various country music artists, it’s got Maren Morris’ wheels turning on who her fantasy collaboration would be…THE Beyoncé Knowles herself.
As an avid member of the #beyhive, Morris shared with the Houston Chronicle, “Beyoncé would definitely be having a dry spell if she was ever gonna collaborate with me.” To prove her dedication Morris has covered “All Night,” which is her favorite song off the chart-topping 'Lemonade' album about the importance of intimacy and physical contact in a relationship with a significant other.
Morris has a large grouping of favorite artists that “span so many genres and decades." Maren continued, "I try to be really respectful of my roots in [country music], but I also don’t want to be strangled by them…I’m young, and I’m evolving. I think that when you put a ceiling on an artist like that, it’s really detrimental.”
It was her collaboration with Zedd on “The Middle” that allowed Morris to break into an audience that would not necessarily identify themselves as country music fans. Who will Maren Morris decide to bring on stage as a surprise collab on her current 'Girl: The World Tour'? You will have to get tickets to find out. Tickets are on sale HERE.
