TMSG: 5-Year-Old's Birthday Wish To Become Target Employee Comes True

5-year-old Cooper Rickman really loves Target. So much so that his third word in his whole life was 'Target.' Cooper and his brother Cayden often go to the store with their mom. They do Target runs about twice a week.

So when Cooper's fifth birthday rolled around naturally there was only one place he wanted to celebrate. But he didn't want toys from Target, he wanted to work there and just hang out there.

Cooper's mom reached out to her son's local store in Rossford, Ohio. They were thrilled to help with his request for a birthday celebration there.

Complete with all the photos documenting the event, Cooper got to wear a Target shirt and name-tag, plus hold a product scanner and walkie talkie. They also decorated a special area of the store called "Cooper's Corner" complete with a bull's-eye cake.

At the end of the birthday outing and Cooper's first "work shift," he used his employee discount to pick out some toys for himself.
