Randy Owen, along with surprise artists Clint Black, Jake Owen, and Michael Ray performed this past weekend at the Songwriter's Night during the 30th annual St. Jude Country Cares event.
After all the artists had each played a song that night, it came back to Randy. The frontman from Alabama, Randy, thought everyone should go around and play once more since he assumed no one wanted to hear hits that were "older than both Jake Owen and Michael Ray."
That's when Michael improvised. He began playing "Lady Down on Love" from Alabama. Jake joined in to sing along with Michael and so did the 1,000 others (myself included!) in attendance. Randy was so moved that he had to leave the stage to compose himself.

Randy Owen has led St. Jude Country Cares since the beginning and celebrated 30 years of raising funds to help benefit the children's hospital that was founded by Danny Thomas in 1962.
