The identities of the officers and the suspect have not been released. The condition of the three injured officers remains unknown, as noted by NewsNation. The Jefferson County Critical Incident Response Team will investigate the shooting.

Governor Jared Polis expressed his condolences, stating, "Law enforcement put their lives on the line for our safety every day and I am heartbroken to learn that a Lakewood Police Agent was killed in the line of duty this evening." He extended his thoughts to the injured officers and the civilian, wishing them a speedy recovery.

The RTD expressed its concern over the incident, emphasizing the safety and well-being of its customers and employees as a top priority. More details are expected to be released as the investigation continues.
