Reba McEntire shared a throwback clip in honor of late legend Patsy Cline.

McEntire reminisced on her performance of Cline’s “Sweet Dreams,” which released posthumously in April 1963, about two months after it was recorded and about a month after Cline’s death. Cline was born in September 8, 1932 in Winchester, Virginia. She died on March 5, 1963 in a tragic plane crash near Camden, Tennessee. She was 30. The Country Music Hall of Fame member, inducted in 1973, is known for “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “Walkin’ After Midnight” and other timeless songs.

“Dear Patsy, your legacy lives on forever,” McEntire wrote in her caption as she shared her rendition of “Sweet Dreams” on Instagram. McEntire performed the song in 1989, and included “Sweet Dreams” on her live album that year, recorded at McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, California. The audience cheered and applauded as she sings a cappella in the clip: “You don't love me, it's plain/ I should know I'll never wear your ring/ I should hate you the whole night through/ Instead of having sweet dreams about you.” Commenters said listening to McEntire’s performance “gives me chills,” “I get goosebumps every time,” is “so beautiful,” and more.
