Dierks Bentley jokingly sent out a “Bat Signal” to call Post Malone to the stage for a surprise performance during a recent show.

Bentley performed on Thursday night (July 31) at Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City, Utah. He shared a video on Friday (August 1) of the moment he invited Post Malone to join him; however, Bentley first told the audience that the F-1 Trillion star was not at the venue: “You know, there’s a pretty famous singer that lives up here in Utah, but he’s not here. I wish he was. I actually — I know he likes one of my songs. I’ve heard him do it one time. I’ll send this out like the Bat Signal, see if it works.”

Bentley strummed his guitar and Post Malone emerged on stage. Together, the duo performed Bentley’s early 2000s anthem from his self-titled album, “How Am I Doin.’”: “Well how am I doin' since you did what you done to me?/ I can't lie I sometimes cry when I think of how it used to be/ I keep my friends with me, I stay busy and I don't get much sleep/ Baby, that's how I'm doin' since you did what you done to me.”

Bentley is currently on his “Broken Branches Tour” after releasing his studio album of the same name. The lineup also includes reigning Academy of Country Music New Male Artist of the Year Zach Top and Georgia duo The Band Loula. See the upcoming tour stops below and watch Bentley share the stage with surprise guest Post Malone here:
