Jordan Davis paid tribute to the most meaningful things in life as he debuted āMoney Isnāt Real,ā the latest track to release as he gets ready to share his upcoming album, Bluebird Days. Davisā storytelling in the sentimental song sees the singer arriving at a memorial service for a millionaire whose life revolved around money. Davis thinks, after looking at the empty chairs, that āI aināt got it that bad,ā especially with his family, friends and more.
ā'Cause money isn't real/ It can't call you like your mama does/ It can't make you old friends/ It can't make you young again/ It can't buy you real love/ It's just paper and some ink/ It'll never ask you how you feel/ A dollar doesn't make you rich when it comes to happiness/ Money isn't real/ Money isn't realā
āMoney Isnāt Realā comes as Davis readies his next album, Bluebird Days, which is due on February 17. TheĀ reigning CMA Song of the Year winnerĀ ā forĀ his smash-hit collaboration withĀ Luke Bryan, āBuy Dirtā ā spoke about his second full-length album during an appearance onĀ The Bobby Bones ShowĀ in November.Ā
Davis previously explained of the meaning behind the name of his soon-to-release sophomore album: āA āBluebird Dayā is, not a cloud in the sky, sun shining, north wind, hot coffee, ducks are flying, which Iāve kind of rolled into this kind of moment in my life which feels like that.ā
