'The Simpsons' Reacts To Correctly Predicting That Donald Trump Becomes President

Now that Donald Trump is officially the president-elect, "The Simpsons" isn't too happy that it correctly saw this coming years ago.

In 2000, "The Simpsons" aired an episode entitled "Bart To The Future." In it, Trump was the president of the United States and this resulted in the country going completely broke. After his presidency ended, Bart's sister Lisa became the new Commander-In-Chief.

The show's writer Dan Greaney previously told The Hollywood Reporter that this was a "warning" to America. "What we needed was for Lisa to have problems that were beyond her fixing, that everything went as bad as it possibly could, and that's why we had Trump be president before her," Greaney said.

Unfortunately, it looks like America failed to take heed because now Trump really is about to take office. Unhappy that it correctly predicted this happening, "The Simpsons" has since reacted to the presidential election results. In the opening of Sunday's (Nov. 13) episode, Bart was seen writing "BEING RIGHT SUCKS" on the chalkboard.
