FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- Where will the KTEX 10 Man Jam be held? The Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show Grounds in Mercedes, at the Payne RODEO Arena. 1000 North Texas Ave. Mercedes, Texas 78570
- What time will the gates open? When can I get in? The parking gates will open at 11am. The gates to get onto the grounds will open at 12 Noon. We will have an area where you can purchase food, drink, jewelry, artisans, etc. starting at Noon. This area will be available to all throughout the event. We will also have a special dueling acoustic guitar set from noon – 2pm.
- Can I bring an ice chest? No, food and drink (beer, soft drinks & water) of all types will be available for sale.
- Can I bring a folding lawn chair? Yes, you may bring it or sit in the bowl area of the arena. Up to you.
- The VIP / PIT area…who can buy a ticket? Anyone may purchase a ticket. Only a limited amount of VIP/PIT tickets will be sold – first come – first served. Pit area tickets will gain access to their area before everyone else, have a bathroom near your area, and a designated bar. You must have a pit pass to enter this area.
- What comes with my VIP / Pit ticket? You will have access to a bathroom closer to the area where you are at. You will be closer to the stage, and there will be a bar near you, so you don’t have to go too far.
- Who needs a ticket to the event? Everyone who is 5 years + or older. This includes VIP / Pit tickets. z
- Can I buy a VIP / Pit ticket the day of the show? If there are any left, yes – normally these are sold well in advance of the event, since only a limited amount is sold…so more than likely there may not be any left by this time. By ahead or purchase general admission.
- Will there be a charge to park? Yes – you will pay $10 for the parking – this is a standard at the RGVLS.
- Where does my money go? The Food Bank provides meals for people of the South Texas area. The need is plenty. With each dollar raised, the Food Bank can provide five nutritious meals for only $1. Do the math. Your contribution will go a long way.
- Will there be anything to do before the show? Yes, plenty – we will have food & item vendors plus a dueling guitar pre-show event. There will be businesses showcasing their products and activations. You will want to show up early for this….
- How long is the concert? We will start at 2pm and it should end by midnight.
- Will you release the lineup for when artists are scheduled to perform? Yes, the day of show. This is not released early, since there is a probability of either a delay in transportation, or cancellation due to weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.
- Will there be security? Medical services? Yes, to both. We will have a security company, along with Mercedes Police Department on hand. Mercedes Emergency will also be available in case the need arises.
- Is there an opportunity for me to showcase my food stand or business at the event? Yes, let’s talk. This is a family friendly event. Email: jojocerda@iheartmedia.com. On the subject line, include: 10 MAN JAM QUESTION. Booth space for businesses and food vendors will be available. Please ask for more details.
- How can I purchase tickets? They will be available for pre-sale at The BootJack in McAllen on North 10th Street or at the BootJack at the corner of Jackson & Jackson during their normal business hours. Cash only, please. You can also purchase tickets online. There may be a charge is you go this route. Log on to www.foodbankrgv.com
- How long will the pre-sale run for? You can purchase tickets beginning Friday November 3 – COB Thursday December 7th. The ONLY place to buy a ticket on Friday December 8th will be at the Food Bank office on Cage Blvd. in Pharr.
- Can I buy a ticket the day of the event? Yes, the ticket price will go from $20 to $25. Again, all the proceeds will benefit the Food Bank of the RGV.
- Can I meet any of the artists performing? There will be several opportunities for you to register to win a meet & greet pass. Please go to the different booths and see if there is a registration there.
- Can I win anything else? Yes – there will be lots to giveaway throughout the day. Please go by all the booths to increase your chance of winning prizes and experiences.
- Will there be something for my young kids to be a part of? Yes, although this event is geared towards older kids & adults, we will have a petting zoo. Bring your phones for pictures.
- Will alcohol be sold? Yes. Please do not bring your own. You will be asked to take it back to your vehicle.
- If I come in, early, can I leave and come back? Yes, be sure to get stamped on the way out, so there are no problems.
- Will I be screened before entering? Yes, for security purposes, everyone will be checked. Let’s be safe. 😊
- If I buy a ticket and am not able to make it the day of, can I get a refund? No, sorry – no refunds or exchanges. If you are not able to make it, try selling it to a friend or co-worker.
- Will there be an ATM, in case I run out of cash? Yes. There will be at least 2 of them.
- Will the vendors accept cash app? Possibly, that is up to them – be prepared, just in case..

- Will there be handicap accessibility? Yes, parking is clearly marked near the front of the show grounds. Seating arrangements are on the ground area in front of the grand stand area.
- Pocket knives will not be allowed on the show grounds.
