Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson open up about their wedding in the new issue of People, sharing their favorite photos and memories from the big day.

The longtime couple wed last weekend at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, Calif., before 275 guests.

“It’s all about family for us,” says Simpson, and their nuptials were no different.

The singer’s mom Tina and sister Ashlee served as maids of honor (in addition to 12 bridesmaids), while Ashlee’s fiancé Evan Ross was among Johnson’s 11 groomsmen.

Johnson’s father was his best man, while Simpson’s dad, Joe, officiated the non-denominational ceremony.

When the couple’s kids — 2-year-old Maxwell and 1-year-old Ace — walked down the aisle as the flower girl and ring bearer, “I kept hearing all the applause, so my kids got standing ovations,” Simpson gushes to the magazine.

Of course, the main event was the star herself making her grand entrance.

Johnson recalls, “I saw my gorgeous wife coming towards me and she was crying. I think my heart was exploding a little bit.”

And with good reason.

“It’s so surreal,” says Simpson. “This has been something we’ve wanted ever since we met.”

The full interview hits newsstands Friday.
